About Wandermates

Travel has always been in my blood.

For as long as I can remember, I've been drawn to the idea that the world is bigger and more beautiful than the place where we started — and that the best way to understand it is to go out and actually live in it, even just for a little while.

I started WanderMates because I kept seeing the same thing over and over — women who desperately wanted to travel but were waiting. Waiting for a partner. Waiting for a friend who could finally commit. Waiting until the "right time."

I wanted to change that.

No woman should have to wait for someone else to say yes before she can say yes to herself.

WanderMates exists for women who want more than sightseeing — they want connection, culture, and community. Real experiences with real women who get it.

I'm Kathy Kloster — a Virtuoso-affiliated travel advisor based in Yakima, Washington. I plan small group trips for women who are done waiting and ready to go.
